Foundation Recovery Systems (FRS) was founded in 1992 by Jeff and Glenn Martin. The business was based in Sedalia, Missouri serving the western half of the state, including Kansas City. Their headquarters is now located in Moberly, Missouri.
To address the problem of foundations that have settled vertically, FRS uses a patented foundation pier system, a process of securing the foundation with steel piers hydraulically driven to bedrock or equal load bearing strata. This process has a distinct advantage over concrete underpinning in that the weight of the structure is supported by bedrock instead of the soil that has already failed.
